The present invention relates to a feed additive for cultivating freshwater eels, containing green tea leaf powder as an active ingredient. The present invention further relates to a freshwater eel cultivation feed composition mixed with the feed additive for cultivating freshwater eels, and a method for breeding freshwater eels by feeding freshwater eels with the freshwater eel cultivation feed composition. According to the present invention, the freshwater eels fed with the freshwater eel cultivation feed composition containing the green tea leaf powder as the active ingredient has shown reduction in crude fat contents and highly fatty acid contents, thereby increasing savory flavors while reducing greasiness in fish meat. Accordingly, the addition of the green tea leaf powder into feed for cultivating freshwater eels can directly bring profits to freshwater eel cultivation industries.
