The present invention relates to a composition for immune enhancement comprising chicken interleukin (IL)-26, and a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of coccidiosis or bacterial enteritis. In the present invention, it is confirmed that the chicken IL-26 activates the JAK-STAT signaling mechanism in T-cells and remarkably improves the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, thereby being usefully used for the treatment of coccidiosis or bacterial enteritis through immune enhancement.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
