The present invention relates to an immune-boosting composition containing a chicken-derived CD81 protein or a gene encoding the same as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the composition contains the chicken-derived CD81 protein as the active ingredient. In addition, the chicken-derived CD81 protein regulates expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) I and MHC II in immune cells as well as Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription (JAK/STAT) signal transduction mechanism, and also remarkably improves secretion ability of cytokines and chemokines, thereby being useful as an active ingredient in immune-boosting compositions.
