PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a patient at slow speed, and restrain a table from rapidly moving down even if an electromagnetic brake fails at the time of power shutdown.SOLUTION: A robot operating table 100 comprises: a table 1 for placing a patient; and an articulated robot arm 2 of which one end is supported by a base 21 fixed to a floor, and of which another end movably supports the table 1. The articulated robot arm 2 includes a plurality of joints including vertical joints 221 and 223 that can each rotate about a rotation axis in a horizontal direction. The vertical joints 221 and 223 each comprise: a first motor 4a; a first speed reducer 6a to which rotation of the first motor 4a is transmitted, and that reduces and outputs the transmitted rotation; and second speed reducers 6b and 6c to which the rotation reduced by the first speed reducer 6a is transmitted, and that reduce and output the transmitted rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
