PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polypeptides for preventing and/or ameliorating skin aging.SOLUTION: The invention provides a synthetic peptide derived from pigment epithelial-derived factor and a pharmaceutical composition thereof, where the synthetic peptide has an amino acid sequence of 20-39 amino acid residues in length and has at least 80% amino acid sequence identity to a specific amino acid sequence, and comprises an amino acid sequence of at least 20 consecutive residues that has at least 90% amino acid sequence identity to the residues 11-30 of the specific amino acid sequence. Further provided is a synthetic peptide of which at least four residues are identical to the residues 11-14 of the specific sequence.SELECTED DRAWING: None
