A description is given of an irrigation mat (10) for fluid supply to the root region of the plants having at least one lower layer (12) and one upper layer (14) each produced from a textile structure similar to plate. at least one tunnel (16) for accommodating at least one tube (40) having fluid outlet ports (42) is formed between the lower layer (12) and the upper layer (14). the lower layer (12) and the upper layer (14) are bonded together in a similar manner to the plate in at least one region (22a, b, c) outside the tunnel (16). A description is also of an irrigation system (1) having such an irrigation mat (10) and pipes (40).
