An irrigation mat for supplying fluids for a root region of plants isdescribed,which has at least one lower layer and one upper layer that are each composedof a textilefabric. Between the lower layer and the upper layer, at least one tunnel isprovided foraccommodating at least one tube, which has exit openings for the fluid. Thelower layerand the upper layer are attached to each other over a large area in at leastone regionoutside the tunnels. In addition, an irrigation system is described, which hasan irrigationmat of this kind and tubes.
