Provided are a method and a system for collecting international standard IEC 62541-based AMI data. The method for collecting AMI data, according to one embodiment of the present invention, receives and collects AMI data from smart meters, transforms standards of the collected AMI data, and transmits the transformed AMI data. Therefore, a mutual compatibility problem of an AMI system can be solved by a high-scalability data exchange standard that can be compatible with various protocols and information models through IEC 62541.
