The present invention provides a steam heating-type convenience food cooking device comprising: a holder module comprising a stepped holder part and a patting part; a steam spraying module comprising a steam nozzle part for spraying steam, a steam supply tube for supplying the steam, and a raising and lowering plate; a driving module fastened into a screw fastening recess formed on the raising and lowering plate, and raising and lowering the raising and lowering plate by means of rotation; a steam making module; a recognition module for recognizing a barcode; and a control module which, according to instant cooking recipe information recognized by the recognition module, drives the driving module, thereby lowering the steam spraying module opposite the holder module, and drives the steam making module, thereby controlling steam spraying time and amount. Accordingly, the device can provide wide use by adaptively accommodating steam cooking containers of different standards for room temperature, refrigerated or frozen food, by means of the stepped holder part, regardless of the type of instant food.
