The present invention relates to a method of preparing Sparassis crispa extracts by using an organic solvent. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer and a food for alleviating cancer, which comprise Sparassis crispa extracts having anticancer activities, and anti-angiogenic and neuroprotective effects, wherein the Sparassis crispa extracts are prepared by using organic solvents including ethanol, distilled water, and chloroform. The Sparassis crispa extracts according to the present invention suppress metastasis and proliferation of cancer cells such as stomach cancer, skin cancer, cervical cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, and brain cancer; suppress invasiveness of vascular endothelial cells and differentiation potential of vascular endothelial cells, including tube formation; and show protective effects with respect to neuroglial cell death induced by a neurotoxin, glutamate, and thus may be beneficially used as pharmaceutical compositions for treating cancer and foods for alleviating cancer, which comprise Sparassis crispa extracts as active ingredients.
