Claimed group of inventions includes a method for calculating the properties of molding sands, a method for calculating the component composition of molding and/or core mixtures, a device for calculating the properties of the molding sands and/or component composition of molding and/or core mixtures, and a machine-readable data carrier for direct participation in the operation of the device.
