The method of producing 2,3-disubstituted 1-hydroxy-1H-indole-5,6-dicarbonitriles involves two steps. At the first step, 2-substituted 1-hydroxy-1 h-indole-5,6-dicarbonitriles interact with aliphatic acid anhydrides of carboxylic acids (acetic, propionic, oil anhydride) in the presence of boron-fluoride-three etherate (BF3Et2O).
