A stacking pattern is created, with which it is possible to reliably stack cartons without causing carton collapse. There is provided a stacked pattern calculating device 24 that calculates a stacking pattern when plural kinds of cartons are picked up in a picking region, the stacking pattern calculating device 24 including: a storage section 241, the dimensions, weights, load limits, and number of corresponding types of the cartons and dimensions of the recording region; a least-combination calculating section 242 which calculates a combination of the cartons constituting a smallest unit formed of one or more cartons having a constant height and in which a base area becomes the smallest; a layer combination calculating section 243 that computes a combination that forms a layer in which the smallest units having the same height are placed side by side among the combinations of the smallest units in a horizontal direction, so that in a plan view, a rectangular Form arises; a stack pattern candidate calculation section 244 that calculates a stack pattern candidate by placing the layers in the combination of the layers in a vertical direction to each other; and a stack pattern candidate correction section 245 that corrects the stack pattern candidate.
