PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seasoning liquid and meat rice bowl source that can bring about salt-reduction without lowering richness and umami and that can surely bring about blood glucose level increase suppression action for after-eating, as we found that the blood glucose level increase suppression action by a genus Salacia plant hot water extract has a greater effect when intaken simultaneously than intaken previously in the eating and that, by the genus Salacia plant hot water extract, the richness and umami of the seasoning liquid itself can be brought about.;SOLUTION: Provided is a seasoning liquid containing a genus Salacia plant hot water extract, including, as main ingredient, a soy sauce, or a sauce comprising at least 2 or more kinds of sugar, soy sauce, wine, salt, ginger, garlic and mirin, and served with carbohydrate soaked therewith. Provided is a meat rice bowl source served with cooked rice topped therewith containing a meat, an onion, a sauce comprising at least 2 or more kinds of sugar, soy sauce, wine, salt, ginger, garlic and mirin, and a content of salacinol contained in a genus Salacia plant hot water extract in a total weight ratio of 0.0001 to 0.0026%.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
