To provide a seasoning liquid and meat rice bowl source that can bring about salt-reduction without lowering richness and umami and that can surely bring about blood glucose level increase suppression action for after-eating, as we found that the blood glucose level increase suppression action by a genus Salacia plant hot water extract has a greater effect when intaken simultaneously than intaken previously in the eating and that, by the genus Salacia plant hot water extract, the richness and umami of the seasoning liquid itself can be brought about.SOLUTION: A seasoning liquid of the present invention contains a genus Salacia plant hot water extract and has soy sauce as main ingredient, or has a sauce comprising at least 2 or more kinds of sugar, soy sauce, wine, salt, ginger, garlic and mirin, and is served with carbohydrate soaked therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
