To provide a separator for used sanitary article processing equipment which can shorten a processing time in the used sanitary article processing equipment which can separate a used sanitary article into plural kinds of blanks which constitute a sanitary article, and can sort the used sanitary article for each of the plural kinds of blanks.SOLUTION: A separator 4 for used sanitary article processing equipment comprises: a housing 7; an outer barrel separation tank 8; an inner barrel separation tank 9; a decomposition water supply part 10 which is provided on the housing 7, and supplies decomposition water 3, in which at least water, lime and a bactericidal agent are mixed at a prescribed ratio, into the inner barrel separation tank 9 while sprinkling said decomposition water onto a used sanitary article 2 from above the used sanitary article 2 which has been introduced into the inner barrel separation tank 9 in the state that the inner barrel separation tank 9 is rotated at a prescribed rotation frequency; and a discharge part 5 which is communicated with a lower side of the outer barrel separation tank 8, and discharges waster water containing dirt together with decomposition water in the outer barrel separation tank 8. By rotation of the inner barrel separation tank 9, the introduced used sanitary article 2 is immersed in decomposition water and is separated to plural kinds of blanks which constitute the sanitary article 2, and the separated plural kinds of blanks are dehydrated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
