The present invention relates to a composition having an anti-fibrotic activity comprising Dendropanax morbifera extract as an active ingredient. Specifically, the Dendropanax morbifera extract according to the present invention has a high level of anti-oxidant activity, and an activity that effectively suppresses the signal pathway of TGF-β1 which plays an important role in fibrosis and thus can suppress the expression and activation of TGF-β1-mediated extracellular matrix factors such as α-SMA, CTGF, FN-EDAM and collagen. Therefore, the composition according to the present invention comprising Dendropanax morbifera extract as an active ingredient can be effectively used for producing drugs for fibrotic diseases, and functional health food.
