The present application relates to a log archiving method, an electronic device, and a readable storage medium. The method comprises: reading log data to be archived in a preset application program, and storing the log data in a corresponding preset cache; and when a preset streaming compression condition is met, setting a target storage path according to a preset rule, and writing the log data in the preset cache into the corresponding target storage path on the basis of a preset compression algorithm that supports data addition, the preset compression algorithm that supports data addition comprising at least one of an SNAPPY compression algorithm, an LZ4 compression algorithm, and a ZIP compression algorithm. According to the present application, no customized development is needed for different service systems, and thus the versatility of log archiving is relatively high; furthermore, since when the preset streaming compression condition is met, the log data to be archived can be directly written into the corresponding target storage path on the basis of the preset compression algorithm that supports data addition, there is no need to back up the archived log data, thus avoiding the problem of multiple backup and saving storage space.
