The present invention relates to a colored brick composition using a coloring agent containing manganese as a main ingredient and a method for manufacturing colored bricks. The colored brick composition comprises: (a) 100 parts by weight of a main material selected from soil, granite soil, and a mixture thereof; and (b) 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight of a coloring agent containing 65 to 70 parts by weight of manganese dioxide (MnO_2), 40 to 45 parts by weight of manganese (Mn), 6 to 8 parts by weight of iron (Fe), and 6 to 8 parts by weight of silicon dioxide (SiO_2). According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a colored clay brick having various colors and good quality by using only a coloring agent of a specific composition containing manganese as a main ingredient and by controlling content of the coloring agent within a range of 0.5 to 2.0 parts by weight, and to obtain an economical colored clay brick with reduced production costs by reducing a firing temperature to 1,110°C or less.
