Suggested are a method and an apparatus for searching for a location of a PSO-based UAV for maximizing sensing data information of the UAV in sensor networks. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for renewing a sensor information value in sensor networks and a method for searching for a location based on PSO to maximize the acquisition of sensor data by using a limited number of UAVs. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method to renew a sensor information value of each sensor in sensor networks, to use a PSO optimization technique for each time based on the renewed value, to consider the efficiency for the type of a sensor of each UAV, a maintenance of connection in accordance with the minimum received power which is available, and a packet transmission probability based on a path loss in accordance with a distance, and to search for a location to acquire maximum sensor data. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method is able to define a particle structure to be used for a PSO optimization in the sensor networks, use a total suitability function considering the efficiency for the type of a sensor of each UAV, maintenance of connection, and packet transmission probability, maximize the sensor data information acquired at all UAVs, and identify the relevant location. Particularly, the present invention is able to renew the sensor information value based on the optimum location information searched previously, perform an optimization of PSO, and search for a location in a time-efficient manner.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
