The invention provides a rope sheave groove measuring device and a rope sheave groove measuring method for an elevator. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an elevator sheave groove measurement device capable of measuring a plurality of sheave grooves at a time and automatically recording measurement results. This elevator sheave groove measurement device is provided with: a plurality of measurement devices (11) which are held by a holder (10) so as to be aligned at the same height above a sheave, are disposed so as to face each of a plurality of sheave grooves (9), and measurethe depth of the sheave groove (9) with which a measurement element (19) is in contact; and a data collection device (12) that is electrically connected to the plurality of measurement devices (11) and records measurement results from the plurality of measurement devices (11).
