PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide immunoregulatory compositions which can induce production of IL-10 having a function of suppressing excessive immune responses and in which the induction of the production of IL-12 having a function of inducing excessive immune responses is suppressed.SOLUTION: An immunoregulatory composition containing bacterial cells and/or processed products thereof as an active ingredient is provided, the bacterial cells of a microorganism and/or processed products thereof having 20% or more of IL-10 production inducing ability based on the IL-10 production inducing ability of OK432 and having IL-12 production inducing ability not exceeding 30% based on IL-12 production inducing ability of OK432. Preferably, the bacterial cells of a microorganism, and/or processed products thereof has 30% or more of IL-10 production inducing ability based on IL-10 production inducing ability of OK432 and has IL-12 production inducing ability not exceeding 30% based on IL-12 production inducing ability of OK432.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
