The invention discloses a scale determination method of a hydrological experiment model based on energy process similarity, which comprises the following steps of: acquiring vector information of a research basin and matching the vector file of indoor self-defined coordinates with the boundary vector file of the research basin to obtain the horizontal scale of a model basin; according to the vector information of the research basin, calculating the hydrological parameters of the research basin and model river basin respectively by using the length, width and horizontal scale of the research basin; calculating the research basin energy and the model basin energy by using the hydrological parameters corresponding to the research basin phase and the model basin phase respectively; based on the similarity of the energy processes, calculating the energy relationship function between the research basin energy and the model basin energy; calculating the vertical scale of the model basin according to the energy relationship function and the hydrological parameters of the research basin and model basin.
