Provided is a slimmed down electrostatic-capacitance-type electronic pen. The tip of a core body made of a conductive material is disposed so as to project from one opening side of a hollow part of a cylindrical casing. A cylindrical coupling member that is made of an insulating material and that houses at least some of a plurality of components of the electronic pen is provided. The cylindrical casing is provided with first and second casing parts separated in the axial center direction. The first casing part is made of a conductive material, and has an opening for causing the tip of the core body to project to the outside while being electrically separated from the core body. On the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical coupling member, formed is a projection part projecting from the outer circumferential surface in a direction orthogonal to the axial center direction with the projecting end face constituting a part of the casing. One side, in the axial center direction, of the cylindrical coupling member, with respect to the projection part is fitted to the first casing part, and the other side in the axial center direction is fitted to the second casing part. The first and second casing parts are electrically separated from each other by the projection part.
