The invention relates to a support device (15) for a rotor of an internal-rotor synchronous machine of a motor vehicle having a star disc (16), which is able to be arranged on the laminated core of the rotor between an end side of the laminated core and end windings of the rotor windings, and having a support ring (17) for encasing the star disc (16), wherein the star disc (16) has a ring carrier (18) for arranging on a rotor yoke of the laminated core, supporting teeth (20), protruding radially from the ring carrier (18), for arranging on rotor teeth of the laminated core, and collar-like end pieces (21), protruding axially from ends of the supporting teeth (20), for arranging on pole shoes of the rotor laminated core, and wherein the end pieces (21) of the star disc (16) and the support ring (17) have mutually complementary bayonet joint regions (25, 26), which are designed to connect the star disc (16) and the support ring (17) in a form-fitting manner. The invention also relates to a rotor (1), to a separately excited internal-rotor synchronous machine and to a motor vehicle having such a support device (15).
