A rotor of a permanent-magnet excited synchronous machine has a drive shaft on which a sheet-metal laminations stack with permanent magnets is fixed for forming the poles, in which the permanent magnets are arranged and fixed on the periphery of the laminations stack. The drive shaft (3) is joined to a carrier/support structure which supports the laminations stack (10).
