A thin-film coating chroma analysis device and an application thereof, and a thin-film coating classification method, relating to the technical field of thin-film coating chroma analysis. The thin-film coating chroma analysis device comprises a spectrophotometer (1), a light source (2), and a sample to be tested (5). Said sample (5) comprises a substrate (52) and a thin-film coating (51) provided on the upper surface of the substrate (52). The spectrophotometer (1) and the light source (2) are provided above said sample (5). The distance between the light source (2) and said sample (5) is 15-35 cm. An angle between straight line A and straight line B is 1-15°. By means of the thin-film coating chroma analysis device, chroma values of different types of thin-film coatings can be obtained, and a database is established based on the obtained chroma values, so that the type of the thin-film coating can be simply and quickly determined by measuring the chroma values of the thin-film coatings to be measured and combining the database. The classification method is simple, quick and practical. Therefore, applying the classification method to classification of diamond-like films can greatly simplify the classification process of diamond-like films, thereby facilitating the practical application in production.
