During use of this air cleaning and ventilation device, the device is mounted indoors, and new airflow ports (2411, 2412) and exhaust ports (252a, 252b) are communicated with an outdoor space. This device makes it possible to realize: a new airflow introduction operation pattern; an interior circulation operation pattern; an operation pattern in which new airflow introduction and interior circulation are simultaneously performed; and a standalone exhaust operation pattern, or a combination of an exhaust operation pattern and one of the above operation patterns. An airflow pathway for exhaust is provided individually, and does not collide with another airflow pathway to disrupt the airflows. The variety of operation patterns can be suitably combined. This makes it possible to effectively treat indoor air and improve the quality of indoor air.
