The present invention relates to a novel alkaline lipase/esterase gene Lip-1447 derived from soil metagenome, and a use of the same. According to the present invention, a transformant having introduced therein the gene Lip-1447-sub-ORF2 recombined from novel lipase/esterase clone Lip-1447 derived from soil metagenome exhibits potent lipase and esterase activity with respect to tributyrin, and a novel lipase/esterase protein isolated and purified from the transformant also exhibits potent lipase and esterase activities, wherein the novel lipase/esterase protein can be mass-produced from the transformant. Accordingly, the novel lipase/esterase gene, a vector comprising the same, and a transformant having the same introduced therein may be usefully used in the industrial mass-production of a novel lipase/esterase protein with potent activities.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
