FIELD: shipbuilding.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, in particular to transportation of compressed natural gas produced in hard-to-reach areas by ship from small deposits for relatively short distances (up to 1000 km). Disclosed is a method of transporting compressed natural gas, which comprises loading from a subsea production system on board a vessel into storage tanks located in compartments of compressed cooled natural gas, storage of loaded gas and its unloading from ship to delivery point, at that when compressed gas is loaded from underwater production complex into vessel tanks it is expanded by throttling and is supplied by gravity simultaneously to all reservoirs under pressure of 50–70 kg/cm². Proposed is ship system for compressed natural gas transportation.;EFFECT: invention will make it possible to provide increased reliability of natural gas transportation at low cost of natural gas transportation from place of gas production to coastal terminal.;6 cl, 2 dwg
