Estimating the Number of Vehicles Adapted for Use by Persons with Disabilities

Many persons with disabilities need specific types of modifications made to211u001eand/or adaptive equipment added to their motor vehicles to meet their 211u001etransportation needs. NHTSA is interested in estimating the size of the 211u001epopulation of vehicle adapted specifically for transporting persons with 211u001edisabilities, as it is not presently known how many vehicles have such 211u001eadaptations. NHTSA is also interested in the safety of vehicles with adaptive 211u001eequipment.
