This guide provides a set of approaches for dealing with quality control (QC)data in the bulk asbestos analysis laboratory. The guide outlines procedures for characterizing within analyst and within laboratory accuracy for the analysis of bulk asbestos samples. Methods are given for generating control charts using statistics calculated from control data. Real laboratory QC data provided by an anonymous NVLAP laboratory is presented and analyzed.
