Feasibility Study of an Automated Motor Vehicle Accident Reporting System for the211 State

The objective of the study was to assess the need for, and feasibility of, a211u001estandardized automated/electronic motor vehicle accident data capture and 211u001ereporting system for the state of Kansas. Based on the results of a survey of law 211u001eenforcement agencies in Kansas, there appears to be a need and support for the 211u001edevelopment of a statewide electronic accident data reporting and management 211u001esystem. Based on the experiences of other states in the region, it appears that 211u001esuch systems are politically and technically feasible and economically 211u001ejustifiable.
