The so-called transmission function framework is described, and implementations211u001eof transmission function models are given for a broad range of genetic 211u001ealgorithms. These models describe GA's with a population of infinite size. An 211u001eactual implementation of these models for a non-trivial problem involving 211u001edeception is given, these models are traced, and the results are visualized by 211u001emeans of population flow diagrams. These diagrams show that cross-competition 211u001ebetween different parts of the optimal solution takes place.
