Overview of Modelling and Analysis Techniques for Arbiters and Related Circuits

This is an attempt to give an overiew of the state of affairs in the literature211u001eof the modellng and analysis techniques for arbiters and related flip-flop based 211u001ecircuits. Efforts are especially concentrated on the lower level modelling and 211u001eanalysis of simple circuits using analogue dynamic systems techniques. The 211u001ephenomenon known as metastability is given particular attention, especially in 211u001econjunction with asynchronous operation of the circuits in question.
