Household Environmental Problems in Sao Paulo: Perceptions and Solutions from211 Centre to Periphery

The three-city study covered a range of topics, including water supply,211u001esanitation, food habits, pests, pesticide use, solid waste disposal, indoor air 211u001epollution, crowding and related health problems. The report analyzes the 211u001edifferences of perceptions, attitudes and socio-environmental conditions in three 211u001eareas of Sao Paulo, drawing on the 1991-92 survey. The three areas were chosen to 211u001erepresent the differences between upper income (central), middle income 211u001e(intermediate) and lower income (peripheral) areas.
