The purpose of this document is to describe completed and ongoing pilot211u001edemonstrations and full-scale applications of ground-water circulation well 211u001esystems for the remediation of saturated soils and ground water at hazardous 211u001ewaste sites. Information for this report came from computerized databases such as 211u001ethe Dialog Information Services and the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 211u001eVendor Information System for Innovative Treatment Technologies (VISITT). 211u001eAdditional materials were obtained from EPA Regional Offices, the Ground Water 211u001eResearch Technology Analysis Center (GWRTAC), Department of Energy staff at the 211u001eOak Ridge National Laboratory and Westinghouse Savannah River, Department of 211u001eDefense site staff, and Battele. Personal interviews and discussions with 211u001erepresentatives of EPA and other federal agencies, state environmental quality 211u001eoffices, academic research centers, hazardous waste remediation consulting firms, 211u001eand technology vendors provided supplementary information.
