The purpose of this fourth guide in the transition training series is to enable211u001eparents, staff, and managers to support and facilitate infant and toddler 211u001etransitions through responsive relationships that are secure, consistent, and 211u001econtinuous. This guide defines transitions during the first 3 years of life from 211u001edevelopmental and relational perspectives that include changes that occur as a 211u001eresult of rapid development growth, multiple daily transitions in routines and 211u001ecare, and transitions from home into and out of Early Head Start and other early 211u001ecare settings.
