The report provides, for 1998: (1) data on total 211u001eU.S.-Sub-Saharan Africa trade and investment flows by selected major sectors and 211u001eregional trade groups; (2) identification of major developments in the World 211u001eTrade Organization and in U.S. trade and economic policy and commercial 211u001eactivities that significantly affect bilateral trade and investment with the 211u001eregion; (3) information on changing trade and economic activities within the 211u001eindividual Sub-Saharan African countries; and (4) an update on progress in 211u001eregional integration in Sub-Saharan Africa.
