The Los Angeles Spread Spectrum Radio (SSR) Traffic Signal Interconnect Field211u001eOperational Test (FOT) investigated the feasibility of using wireless 211u001ecommunications as an alternative to traditional hard-wire interconnection, to 211u001eextend the coverage of centralized traffic control systems. While other tests 211u001eused SSR as a component, e.g., Mobile Surveillance in Orange County, CA, this FOT 211u001ewas the only one with SSR as its focus. This report captures the practical 211u001elessons learned by the test partners during the conduct of the FOT.
