Law Enforcement and Corrections Family Support: Development and Evaluation of a Stress Management Program for Officers and Their Spouses. Final Report

This Project was submitted under section 1 of the Law Enforcement and Corrections Family Support: Solicitation for Research, Evaluation, Development, and Demonstration Projects. Section 1 solicited projects that would develop, demonstrate and test innovative stress prevention or treatment programs for state or local law enforcement and/or correctional personnel and their families. This project represents a collaboration between a Police Department in West Texas and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and was fbnded by the National Institute of Justice (NU). The impact of occupational stress on law enforcement and correctional officers has long been known. More recently, attention has been focused on the impact stress has on officers families.
