Study as to Merits of Various Rapid Rain-Drop Counting and Sorting Techniques

摘要

An extensive literature search has been made to evaluate known instruments, designs, and methods of counting rain and drizzle drops according to their sizes. Emphasis has been placed on the techniques that are adaptable to automatic regis¬tration of drop count versus various powers of drop diameter.nThe comprehensive literature powers of drop diameter, annotated bibliography of raindrop sizing and counting techniques. The optical mechanical spectrograph, being developed at the University of Michigan, was supported by funds under this contract as it appeared to be a highly promising device.
