Determination of Source of Radiation of Circular Waveguide and Reflecting Disk

A study was made of the radiation from the open end of a circular waveguide, in front of which a circular reflecting disk was placed. This system was found to have an apparent circular ring source, the ring being parallel to the disk, concen¬tric with the waveguide, and at greater distance from the waveguide aperture than the disk.
