PROCEDURES FOR THE METALLOGRAPHIC PREPARATION OF BERYLLIUM, TITANIUM, AND REFRACTORY METALS

This memorandum is based on the practice of Battelle Memorial Institute, information on which was readily available at a minimum of expense and probably typical of what might have been developed by a more extensive survey. The metallographic preparation of the listed metals can differ in detail from one laboratory to another. The procedures outlined herein may have to be altered to meet the needs of a given laboratory to accomplish a satisfactory end result.nThese procedures are presented as a compilation of separate discussions for each metal or similar metals.
