On the Coupled Torsional-Horizontal Vibration of Ships

摘要

A numerical computation method of coupled torsional-horizontal vibration of ships was developed and coded for IBM-7040 computer. The characteristics of the coupled vibration were studied for uniform beams by the analytical and the numerical method. The frequency calculation was made on 4 ships, and the results were compared with the measured frequencies. They agreed with others by about 10% of difference. (Author)
