U.S. Participation in Certain NATO Groups Relating to the Research, Development, Production and Logistics Support of Military Equipment

The Directive amplifies the responsibilities assigned in Department of Defense (DoD) Directives 5100.27, 5126.22, 5129.1, and 5132.2 as they apply specifically to U.S. participation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) groups established under the terms of NATO Document C-M(66)33(Revised), May 30, 1966 to promote cooperation in the research, development, production and logistic support of military equipment. It supplements the policies established in DoD Directive 3100.3 governing U.S. cooperation with Allies in this area.
