Ring Laser Angle Encoder

摘要

The ring laser angle encoder concept appears to have potential applications in space navigation, space- and ground-base surveying, inertial attitude determination and alignment, and the determination of antenna and telescope attitudes and of rotary-table precision angles. Specific application would include gyro and accelerometer tables, astronomical observatories, precision surveying relative to targets such as point light sources and water horizons, and automatic navigation sextants for determination of geodetic, ship, aircraft, and spacecraft locations.
