Twin Cell Rectangular Conduits Criteria and Procedures for Structural Design

This technical release (TR) is concerned with the structural design of twin cell rectangular conduits. A computer program written in FORTRAN was developed to perform these designs given the clear height and width of one cell, load combinations and the design mode desired. The computer program determines the required minimum thickness of the top and bottom slabs, the thickness at the top and bottom of the sidewalls and the thickness of the centerwall. The computer also obtains the minimum required steel areas and maximum steel spacings at twenty preselected locations.
