Colorimetric Determination of Zinc via Resorcinol Complex.

摘要

A systematic study of the reaction between resorcinol and zinc ion was carried out. The blue color was formed at pH 10;the color forming reaction was reversible. An investigation was undertaken to study the complex spectrophotometrically. Formation of the blue-colored,water soluble complex between resorcinol and zinc was stable to wide temperature variation. The complex shows maximum absorbance at 610nm where the absorbance by the reagent or the metal is small.
