Standard Stockage Policy for Reparable Secondary Items at the Intermediate and Consumer Levels of Inventory

The Instruction establishes policy and procedures in support of the basic objectives and policies stated in DoD Directive 4140.44, relative to demand- and nondemand-supported stockage criteria and determination of requirements for repairable secondary items at retail supply points. It provides general policy and guidelines for positioning nondemand-supported repairable items at the intermediate and consumer levels of inventory. The Instruction provides the basic mathematical functions to be used for computation of demand-supported repairable item stockage at the intermediate level of inventory.
